Because of a common hydrocarbon base binder, Com-Art transparent and opaque colors can be used together without bleeding between colors. This non-toxic, ready-to-use paint is specifically formulated for use with an airbrush and never needs to be filtered or strained. Com-Art colors are heavily pigmented and light fast, allowing for accurate four color separations. They provide superior atomization, smooth spraying, and they dry instantly.
Kit contains opaques (1 oz. bottles): black, white, ultramarine, hansa yellow, toluedene red; transparents: black, royal blue, bright red, violet, and bright yellow.

very good product, i just wished the sets were available in other forms than what was available at the time of order. worked well with body art over latex, good color even application.

I have been using ComArt paints for better than 10 years. Colors I sprayed a decade ago are still vibrant and crisp. I prefer the transparents almost exclusivly for the glazing effect you can create that gives wonderful depth of color. I have found that they can be mixed well with other brands of acrylics and even gouaches, liquid watercolors, inks and dyes.

I love the transparent colors because they enhance simple graphite drawings and enhance lighting and shading, transforming your artwork. This is just one example of using com art transparent colors with my Iwata airbrush and silent air compressor.

Theses colors work very well in an air brush. This is a basic set and provides what you need to get started. The bottles are small and I haven't had time to see how quickly I go through one.
