General purpose Bombay India Ink is non-clogging and holds a line without spreading. The ink dries waterproof, opaque, and lightfast. It flows freely off pen tip, brush, and airbrush and can be used for rubbing stamping, lettering, and background washes.

Bombay India Ink adheres to almost any surface including paper, wood, plastic, vinyl, and board. The ink is AP approved non-toxic.

The Dr. PH Martin Bombay Inks are superb for the particular purpose that I am using them for, which is to provide saturated, jewel colored washes to specialty/art papers to use as a background for further treatment. These inks combine nicely with other ink and paint media, don't smudges or smear, and are equally easy to use with quill pens and paint brushes. I love the colors!

Love it! I used this ink to do the calligraphy on wedding envelopes--the envelopes were handmade paper. The ink worked quite well.

Excellent, rich, deep opaque colors. Dr. Martin's Bombay inks deliver where others do not either due to quality or that when the colors are only offered as transparents and opacity is needed. It holds to the pen tip without dripping, dries quickly, is water proof after drying, and doesn't bleed out on the surface or over any lines when using multiple colors. I had no problems inking in my illistrations. I hope to see additional Dr. Martins inks (such as the irridescent inks) offered in the nearing future to incorporate into future projects.

Doing cartoons for Playboy and others, this ink is invaluable to the craft. The colors are nice and viabrant. I recommend these to anyone beginner or advanced.

The brown ink flowed nicely when writing. I was a little more transparent than I had hoped for and left dark spots where the pen first and last touched the paper. It dried up on my pen nib quite fast and I had to dip it often. I wasn't that thrilled working with it, however the customer loved how all her wedding envelopes came out.

I've ordered several of these inks, and I have found them easy to use with the pen that I ordered. They're easy to clean off of the pen tips and smooth writing. It doesn't run on paper, or leave large splotches.

I only tried Dr. Ph. Martin Bombay since I could not say “No” to these prices! These folks beat the daylights out of Dick Blick. for value and variety. Concerning the inks, I found Winsor and Newton's inks to be glossier and easier to control. I believe it's just a matter of personal taste.

The violet and red inks flow nicely from dip pens. Ink did not feather on various types of paper.

great for airbrushing. tends to clog a little but when thinned properly, produces nice dark marks with little to no clogging

I address 300-400 envelopes per week, and this is the only ink I use. It flows nicely, never drips or clumps. I can mix the colors to customize, and it is waterproof. Sometimes the white gets thick if you don't shake it often enough, but it's a small sacrifice for a great product!

I am obsessed with this ink. I love every color I have and am thrilled with the opacity of the white and black. I didn't have any feathering or bleeding - and it's a great consistency. This ink has become a staple in my art.
