This guide is similar to the Pickett 26-VI,with the addition of lower case characters on the 1/8 size. The 26 is "Modern Bold" the 36 is "Modern Light", but I can't see any difference in the characters. I use this template with a Pentel P205 .5mm pencil, and with a Koh-i-noor rapidomatic .5 pencil and both work well with it. I have not tried inking, but I like the 'risers' on the pickett templates. The Rapidesign R-960 series of lettering guides are also worth looking at, their 'automatic equal spacing' guide lines come in handy for me. I have several of both Pickett and Rapidesign lettering guides, both US made and high quality. p.s. I find that the letters produced by the 36SI (Modern Light) are just slightly wider and more 'bold', than those produces using a 26SI (Modern Bold), which is opposite to what I expected.
