We are starting to make outdoor birdhouses and some of our plans call for thinner plywood. I'd like to know if this plywood can be used for that purpose?- Asked by Sheila McClurg on 06-Mar-14
Our thin birch plywood ranges in thickness from 1/64 in. to 1/4 in. It is commonly used for architectural models and other indoor crafts. This wood needs to be treated for outdoor projects. We have a Krylon Clear Wood Finish that helps to protect wood from the elements.- Answered by MisterArt on 10-Mar-14
What is its density?- Asked by Keni on 25-Jan-14
Birchwood has an average density approximately .67g/cm3 and is a strong, durable wood. Each item specifies the thickness of the board as well as the dimensions.- Answered by MisterArt on 27-Jan-14
Is this weather-resistant?- Asked by Bruce Gratz on 09-Dec-13
None of the wood we sell is weather-resistant as this is sold mainly for architectural model-making. I think the kind of wood you are looking for is more like what you'd find in a hardware store.- Answered by MisterArt on 10-Dec-13
How many plies?- Asked by Mordehai Gheva on 10-Dec-12
The Thin Birch Plywood by Midwest item number #44226 would be considered an 8 to 8 1/2 ply.- Answered by MisterArt on 11-Dec-12
