Ask a Question

Can I spray Workable Fixatif or Crystal Clear on the 38LB Parchment Tracing Paper to protect the transferred work and mount it to an illustration board?

- Asked by Annie on 27-Sep-13

It depends on what medium was used on the tracing paper. If it was pencil, use a fixative that is best for that medium, etc.

I ran out of my usual brand on short notice, and got some of this -- it is lighter than regular parchment, and so would probably buckle if anything past technical pen and ink was used, but for sketching, lifting, technicals and just fun stuff, it was great! I do a lot of planning using coloured pencil and blenders, lots of rubbing, and it holds up beautifully.

The paper is a very nice tracing paper. It handles only light ink well and of course pencil. It will buckle with any kind of heavier ink coverage. Excellent for preliminary sketches.
