These books are a great help in the pursuit of self-training. I purchased four titles, "Faces & Features," "Drawing Heads," "Heads & Figures in Pencil," and "The Art of Drawing Still Life." Definitely worth the price. Great explanations and examples, as well as showing what to practice. Might seem fast-paced for absolute beginnners but not too overwhelming if you're diligent. All you have to do is commit the time to practice. I highly recommend these books, and I'm anxious to pick up the other titles Foster offers.

The books are to advanced for a beginer. I picked them up for my son. They are just to difficult for him to work on his own. The cartoon one is the easist to comperhend.
