As a beginner I highly recommend this book as a starting point. All I knew was I wanted to draw but I didn't know where or how to start and this book took care of that from the very first page. It is a step by step from beginning to end guide on drawing for the novice. I could not believe what I was able to draw after reading just a few pages of this book. I am having so much fun thanks to "Drawing For Dummies".
