Royal & Langnickel Royal Sabletek is over 20 years in the making. The original royal Sable was a natural hair alternative to pure red sable with more body, snap and strength. Royal Sabletek is the synthetic alternative made of a proprietary blend of the finest quality synthetic filaments developed to replicate the experience of painting with the original Royal Sable. The result is more control and precision in executing brush stokes, added durability in maintaining points, and constant edges. They allow the arrtist to lay down the maximum amount of color and follow through with longer strokes. These brushes may be used with any viscosity paint, but work best with acrylics or oils.

This is a pretty good brush, springs back, very smooth paint application. cleans well.

Resilient brush. Comes to a nice point, and is helpful for glazing tight areas.

It is very sad that these brushes leave hair all over the paintings, :( otherwise, it could have been a very sweet brush-product.

I was not able to get these mongoose brushes anywhere else as they have been discountinued. I can understand why, the hairs fall out but once you crimp the ferrule they do not fall out anymore. However, these brushes are the best for oil painting. They hold the paint, the hairs are soft and go on smoothly. I think they are the best brushes on the market. The fact that a few hairs fall out are a pain in the neck but the cons way outway the pros. It is a great paint brush and am in the process of ordering more.
