Cover-Coat Opaque Underglazes

Cover-Coat Opaque Underglazes fire to an opaque, porous matte finish. They can be applied directly to greenware, soft fired bisque, and bisque. Painting with Cover-Coats is similar to painting with acrylic paints and is a great fired alternative for decorative painters.

Cover-Coat colors are opaque, and one color generally covers the one beneath it. They are perfect for airbrushing and brushwork, and are also great for layering because they dry quickly and can be painted over without lifting the colors underneath.

Cover-Coats are nontoxic, lead free, and they clean up with water.

With Cover Coat I can get the same effect as using Acrylics but can be used to create beautiful planters, stepping stones, various figurines such as butterflies, etc. I love being able to mix colors or having the ability to cover a mistakewith another color.

I have used covercoat paints since I began doing ceramics, which is over 6 years. It paints on easily for a beginner and paints on perfectly for an avid ceramist. The colors match perfectly to the chart. The coverage depends on the amount of coats used, but come out perfect every time. There are many choices of colors. They are put onto greenware and then fired and glazed afterward to keep the color exact. I love using them and are even happier when new colors come out so I can creat new works of art!
