Premixed E-Z Stroke Translucent Underglazes

E-Z Strokes are extremely versatile translucent underglazes. They have a broad firing range that allows them to be used on almost all clay bodies, and E-Z Strokes’ translucent quality makes them suitable for use with a number of techniques, including airbrushing, antiquing, and brushwork.

As a pure pigment-based paint, E-Z Strokes is the simplest form of fired color. Their intense pigments allow high definition and brilliant decoration for any project. You can use E-Z Strokes just like watercolors, in layers of transparent/translucent, bold, pure color, and, just like watercolors, you can intermix all the E-Z Strokes colors.

E-Z Strokes are non-toxic and lead free. They are food safe when properly covered with a lead free clear glaze. E-Z Strokes are available in 1 oz. bottles.

Duncan E Z Strokes are the best on the market. I have tried other brands and believe me, Duncan is the very best. The colors are soft and smooth and I love that watercolor effect. Give them a try and see for yourself!!

This is the first time I have used an underglaze on my miniature dolls in the greenware stage. I used the Duncan EZ stroke in white to paint the eyes and they look great plus it saved me an extra firing in the kiln.

I have used these for years and love them. The only issue I have had is with the neon colors. The over glaze tends to not want to adhere to it, actually, now that I think about it, I have had the issue with some of the other colors such as poppy orange and coral. I try to add extra glaze, but at times it can come out too thick... more trial and error to come.
