Non-Toxic Green Glow in the Dark Powder

A unique phosphorescent material that after activation by a light source is characterized by very high initial brightness and long low after-glow visible to the dark-adapted eye for many hours. Powder is made of strontium aluminate, a rare earth metal.

As with other pigments, Glow Pigment can be mixed into liquid mediums (oil, acrylic, or water based). The main characteristic of the medium is that it needs to dry transparent so that the pigment is allowed to fully absorb light. The manufacturer recommends 30% pigment to 70% vehicle (medium) for full strength glow.

You can apply the pigment in any fashion that you would apply the medium you are mixing it into; brush, sponge, silk screen, extruder, etc.

A pound is about a cup of pigment and that will produce about 2 1/2 cups of full strength paint.

Not recommended for dry use. Use respiratory protection when handling dry powder.

we have used the glow powder to develop a new product for the u.s.first responce teams. this team responds to all u.s.natural and man made disasters in search and rescue opperations. the product we developted was of simple in nature. we mixed glow powder with glass beads and mixed that with polyurethane clear coat available at wall-mart. this gives us a headlight reflective safety paint that glow in the dark. the search and rescue teams use this to paint a mark on buildings they have searched. the marked building can now be seen with a flash light from several yards off saving time that is needed to search other buildings. the glass beads can also be ordered thew this web site who i highly recomend as your supplier for these and other products of interest. thank you for your time. b.a.industries.

i have used the green pigment mixed with clear coats for detail work.also for marking walking trails,and it's fun at holloween we painted several large rocks and tree stumps along the roadway. first you should paint a base coat of white house paint then the pigment is applied and after it dries a nother clear coat is applied to protect the pigment. the uses are only limited by your imaginatation

we use this powder to coat our distress signal devices used for outdoor survival rescue. this makes it easer for lost hikers or campers to find when lost at night.
