I bought the 2-inch brush and I'm very glad I didn't go larger. This really is a good, big, solid brush for large, sweeping washes of paint. It holds a prodigious amount of liquid, and lays it down with a minimum of fuss, and no shedding of bristles, which is always a blessing. If it has a fault, it's that the ferrule tends to hold quite a bit of water and has to be well shaken out before the brush gets put away. But that's a minor consideration.

Fairly inexpensive and comfortable in the hand, but the bristles fall out often and mess up my gesso. Kind of frustrating. Guess you get what you pay for.
