Clear Resist Pad and Ink

by Ranger

Produce the ultimate in Resist with Ranger’s Clear Resist Pad! Clear Resist is non-toxic, acid free, and specially formulated to repel water based dye inks on glossy paper. To create a quick and easy resist, just stamp, stencil, or texturize Clear Resist on gloss paper and, when dry, brayer over with inks or water based paints (dark colors and rainbows work best). Then watch the color(s) beneath the Clear Resist “pop out” and appear to be printed over the top layer of ink!

Clear Resist Stamp Pad is 3 7/8 in. x 2 3/4 in. and uniformly saturated with Perfect Medium. It’s the easy and efficient way to apply Clear Resist to your rubber stamps.

Clear Resist Re-inkers are sold separately. These 1 fl. oz. bottles provide plenty of Clear Resist to re-ink your stamp pads.

I did a comparison by stamping one image with Clear Resist and another with VersaMark on glossy paper. I then applied Adirondack alcohol inks. The Clear Resist's resist image was much clearer than VersaMark's. (I had used the re-inker to fully saturate the ink pad before stamping.) I like VersaMark for other applications, but in this case, the Clear Resist products performed much better.
