Beginner's Metal Embossing Kit

The MercArt Beginner’s Metal Embossing Kit contains four double-sided tools for metal embossing. The tools are made of the highest quality materials and feature 3 ½ in. metal handles.

Tool #1 has a Teflon Refiner tip and a Teflon Deer Foot tip. They are ideal for refining, reshaping, cleaning, and even erasing.

Tool #2 has a Star Wheel tip, for making a line of dots, and a Brass Brush, for scratching the metal to give it a more matte finish.

Tool #3 has a Ball No. 2, a medium size stylus for embossing, and a Cup No. 2, for refining perfect dots.

Tool #4 has a Refiner, for making very fine lines, and a Small Stylus, for tracing or transferring designs over the metal.

I recently ordered this kit. Service was great and tools are of top quality with metal handles. I would like to make one comment regarding one of the tools, the refiner and stylus tool. This tool is about one-inch too short to be held comfortably by someone with man-sized hands. Being a man, that's what I have. No matter which end you use, the other end jams into your skin. That pretty much makes this particular tool unusable for me. Fortunately, I also ordered the refiner line embossing tool which has a tip on only one end; the other end is smooth metal. This refiner is about half-inch longer that the refiner/stylus tool and presents no problems when using.
