I expected more of this product since the description said it wouldn't crumble. Well, it does crumble, making it difficult to clean the stamp. many of the details weren't clear because the bits broke off easily.

These blocks are great for carving your own stamps. You can print a black and white design out and transfer it to the block very easily. They carve well and don't crumble like other brands I've used.

These are lovely for creating nicely detailed hand-carved rubber stamps. Out of the few available carvable compounds on the market, these are the nicest. No crumbling, cracking, or breaking. Totally buttery-smooth soft surface allows you to carve into it using little hand pressure, allowing for total control of the outcome. Nice to be able to use all six surfaces to carve on, too!

I have carved many linoleum block print blocks, but had never used this product till my partner's son got us into letterboxing this spring. I ordered some master carve from mister art and started carving my own stamps. This material is excellent, carves like butter, smoothly and precisely. I am very impressed. I am currently working on an American flag stamp that will be planted in Waterloo, NY, the birthplace of Memorial Day.

This product is great to use for kids! My scout troop used it to create their own stamps and it was wonderful. It was soft enough to carve with small screwdrivers, toothpicks/shishkabob skewers, and mechanical pencils without their leads or erasers.

The best for carving stamps. (I use an X-Acto knife instead of block-carving tools, I find it easier to control.) Be aware that the larger sized blocks are also thicker, which I like. I get the largest size and cut them down to size, if necessary.

This is one of the best carving mediums on the market. It is extremely flexible and soft. It's unusual thickness ensures for durablity of many stampings.

I prefer to use Master Carve when making my rubber stamps because it allows the color of markers to adhere to it. I don't always have the resources to get professional type inks for my stamps, especially when the kids get involved. I've tried PZCut and EZCut and neither accept the marker color like Master Carve.

This is a great product for people like me who are just getting started carving. It is very soft and easy to work with. The blocks are also a nice large size so you can carve a large design or cut it up to make several smaller stamps.

This is great for carving...carves like butter! Very forgiving of mistakes. Thick enough that you don't need to mount. Highly recommend!

These blocks are by far the best I have found to carve my own stamps. They work fabulous because they are not hard as a rock, nor are they to soft. You can make intricate, detailed work with Mastercarve Blocks.

I used to carve stamps out of erasers as a kid, and now I carve stamps out of this! It is soft like an eraser, and takes on impressed images easily like an eraser, so you can draw out a design and imprint it on the block surface to carve around. Much sturdier than an eraser, so that it holds its shape, and you can carve on multiple sides of the same block. Takes much less time and effort to carve than other blocks, and you can use a variety of tools to carve them.

I helped introduce Mastercarve when it use to be Uncle Walter's Carving Block at the ACCI Retailers convention in Chicago years ago .. It does carve like butter that was our motto! Very easy to carve and the nice thing is you don't have to mount your carvings. To get a good clear image wash the material before you transfer an image using nail polish remover.

Staedtler Carving Blocks are really wonderful to work with, especially for a beginning carver. They cut very easily so you're not fighting the material. Because they are so thick, you can carve on both sides and have two stamps instead of one. Additionally, the thickness of the stamp makes it substantial enough to use without a handle. I recommend these for beginning carvers, especially.

I never carved a stamp before but this stuff was awesome! It was easy to transfer a simple pencil tracing to and it cut without effort. And with the 3/4 inch thickness, the stamp doesn't even have to be mounted. Great stuff!

My FAVORITE carving medium. It does "cut like butter." It's thicker than most, but this way, I don't have to mount the stamps I carve. I have also carved on both sides, for double the stamping fun.
