Jacquard Acid Dyes are concentrated, powdered, hot water dyes that produce the most vibrant possible results on protein fibers including silk, wool, cashmere, alpaca, feathers, and most nylons. Don't be alarmed by the name--the only acid involved is the vinegar that you add. Packaged in convenient, reclosable 1/2 oz. jar which will color about two pounds of fiber. Jacquard Acid Dyes are extremely brilliant and colorfast. If you can do a load of laundry, you can use these dyes. It's that easy. In addition to garment dyeing in a washing machine, you can use to paint or print.

I really like using these dyes for my wool products. The colors are very clean, the dye is easy to store, and the selection of colors is wonderful. I only wish the top of the bottle was wider, so I could get a teaspoon inside.

I have used these dyes many times, easy to work with and clean up and have a consistant color match everytime. Common sense, a clean work area, and following the instruction guidlines yields excellent results. I will most certainly buy this product from this site again!

I started using Jacquard Acid Dyes a year ago and haven't looked back! I love the range of the colors that are available and the ability they give me to produce vibrant colors or deeper tones. Nothing but fantastic stuff in these little jars, I suggest picking some up immediately if you haven't already! One of every color!

I love these dyes! I use them for dyeing wool and I end up with beautiful, vibrant colors that are a joy to spin! Very easy to use and a small amount goes a long way.

I use Jacquard Acid Dyes to dye yarn. The colors are so vivid and accurate every time. I can always count on these dyes to do the job.

This is my primary dye for my yarns. I love the bright colors and how well it takes to the yarn, it works really great on wool and silk. I also love the fact that the only thing I need to add to this dye is the vinegar. Great product for someone who has no clue about dyeing, or is dyeing yarn for the first time.

I thought my cashmere sweater was a lost cause due to a coffee stain. I decided to try this before tossing it. If I'd used more it may have been a little darker, but it came out a great gun-metal gray and saved my sweater. I followed the directions and had consistant color coverage and no shrinkage or damage. I'm happy as a clam!

These are wonderfully easy to use. Extremely bright colors. Very good color take up by the wool and silk fibers. Easy to clean up when done and remaining dye can be saved and used at a later date.

Jacquard Acid Dyes are the best that I have found. I have tried others but these are the easiest to use, even in the winter without opening doors and windows. Many of the other dyes are place or time restrictive, these are not.

fantastically easy to use...I use a small bit in a mason jar for dying rice paper....colors are brilliant and colorfast...have really added pizzazz to my mixed media artwork!

Jacquard acid dyes are beautiful, vibrant and very easy to use. I just wish they would come in natural hair colors (blondes, browns, aurburns) besides the regular jewel tones. I dye a lot of mohair and I find it hard to achieve natural colors unless I do a lot of mixing.

I recently purchased Jacquard Acid Dye to salvage an expensive silk suit that had become spotted with water marks. As advertised, the dye was as simple to use in the washing machine as laundering clothes. One empty run of the washing machine after completion of the dye process removed any stain from the machine. The colors dyed and dried evenly on the silk fabric. I doubt that anyone would think the suit had been dyed. The results are beautiful and for very little money salvaged one of my favorite silk dress suits. I will definitely use this dye again.

I wear synthetic (not human hair) wigs. I am a color specialist, so I am very picky about what color of hair I have on and have used RIT dye on wigs for 10 years. Jacquard Dyes have more choices and WOW the color is vibrant.

These dyes are convenient and very easy to use. They give wonderful consistent results and only need a little vinegar added to the dye bath to set. The color range is nice and they blend well together to give an endless variety of colors. They deserve 5 stars for quality but I only gave 4 because the color names are not always consistent with what I expect (example: Olive should have a green hue but is actually a shade of brown) Definitely select colors by the colorchart and not by name.
