Very Low Odor Spray Fix

This will not alter technique or affect the surface of the finest art papers when used as directed. Dries in seconds to a matte finish which may be worked over with any art medium. Spray Fix causes the least possible change in delicate tints and values. Prevents maker, tempera, pencil, charcoal, pastel, chalk and opaque watercolors from bleeding one into the other. Soil and moisture resistant. Contains no fluorocarbons and free of lead hazards.

Ive been using this spray for a long time and its the only one that is 100% re-workable. I use it to 'fix' my design on paper before finishing with layers of watercolor. All other sprays (including the Blair Spray Fix... the one that's not labeled 'low odor') make the paper resistant to the watercolor paint. Very odd because both sprays have the same description on their label... Hope that helps u make the right choice.

This is the first time I have ever used anything like this. I am currently sketching with charcol and needed something to 'set' my work so it won't continue to smudge when I am done. I am very happy with the results! I was a bit apprehensive to spray on my work..so practiced on a piece of paper first. I took it outside to do it even though it's low odor. Boy, I would hate to smell what the non low odor smells like! BUT it didn't linger and am extremely happy with it! It seemed to deepen the darks which really ended up beautiful! VERY happy.

This is a really nice product for anyone working in charcoal. Very low odor, very little change in color when used correctly. You can also work over it with any medium.

A low odor fixative is a godsend for those of us who work with pastels and chalks ... and very few vendors carry this particular product. It creates little or no change to your work.

I have tried other fixatives, but because of their odor my family complains and my wife is very upset. This is the only fixative that is, by mine that is, "Family Approved", besides doing a great job.

I've used this product for several years, largely because there is no other alternative, "lower odor" fixative. It fixes charcoal & pastels as advertised. The odor though is not "very low." When used in a normally ventilated room, there's no mistaking the odor & consequently I try to spray artwork outside as much as possible.
