I don't know what I would do without this graphite chunk. I make large scale, fairly realistic landscapes. Without this item, I would never be able to achieve the sweeping moody skies I love to draw. I use the graphite chunk because I hate the feel of charcoal. Absolute must for large scale renderings of all kinds.
