I bought this product not as a straight edge, but to use as a backing (support) for a tile window covering I made. I got the idea because I was using an aluminum yard stick to keep it straight. Unfortunately, it was not the right size. This one came in all different sizes so I could choose the one I needed. They were sturdy enough to provide the support, but still thin enough not to add a lot of bulk and weight.
