I purchase Van Gogh because of they are softer then other brands and recommended by the end users. We have only use the black.

I hesitated about ordering oil pastels online because I was afraid I might get ripped off with that hard waxy stuff. I'm glad I ordered, because these are wonderful, the pigments are intense, they are the right consistency, and they blend very well. I would recommend these over and over. If you're looking for a quality product just go ahead and order this.

These are now my favorite oil pastels. The first brand I tried was too hard, the second was too soft. These are right in the middle and work very well for me.

These are an excellent value. They are much better than the cheaper ones, but they aren't as expensive as Sennelier or Holbein. They are smooth but not too soft. The colors are very intense, they blend well, and they work well with other brands. I use them most.
