I wanted to try this ink after seeing artist Wyanne on Youtube use it in her artwork. I use it mainly for outlining what I want to color in. And I also use it for lettering in my art journal. Wonderful ink and so dark and smooth!

This is my favorite ink for calligraphy practice, and it's beautiful enough for finished products as well. Very silky, flows exceptionally well, rich black color that dries well. It is a sensual ink that's easy to work with and satisfying.

great ink!

I'm using Sumi to ink comics and illustrations. This is the only ink I've found that will not smear or bleed under the pressure of markers, or watercolors. It goes on black and smooth. I doubt I'd like any other ink as much.

This is a pretty good ink for calligraphy and painting. I especially like the fact that it doesn't have a strong smell like some other ink I had used before.

Excellent liquid ink for sumi-E painting. Rich black, nice handling characteristics. Does not bleed when image is wet-mounted. Great quality and value.
