I love this pen for its precision. I used it for an ink drawing on black paper. The only downsides are that you need to push down on the nib to get more ink. Do not do this on your drawing surface, because you could get a spurt of ink where you don't want it. Also, it's not totally opaque on all surfaces. I had to go over my lines 3 times in order to achieve the degree of opacity I was after. I imagine it would be perfectly opaque if used on a less porous medium than paper.

Good, handy pen to have around for marking on dark surfaces. Also good for rubber stamping

The white pen worked great for me on lightly textured, collage surface. Nice tool for adding random words or squiggles.

Difficult to work on some of the surfaces indicated. Did not write smothly on plastic and glass, and when pumped for more ink, burst all over drawing surface. Very permanent, better for traditional writing surfaces.

When I personalize items, I either highlight the writing or highlight some of the things I also draw with it. This particular pen is good for that. I use a lot of different colors and when I highlight with this pen, it blends into the color and gives it more dimension. It also makes great stars and pixie dust.
