These will probably be OK for a time, but you may also want to look at the Liquitex Glossies, which are water-based and you can bake them on in your home oven. - Answered by MisterArt on 04-Nov-13Is the paint easily and safely removed from car window glass? - Asked by Jack on 31-May-13

The Sharpie paint marker is oil-based and pretty permanent, and it would require solvents to remove. - Answered by MisterArt on 31-May-13Do these markers work on ceramics? I want to monogram mugs for use in our home. - Asked by Jennifer K. on 31-Jan-13

The Paint Markers by Sharpie are not recommended for use on ceramics. We would suggest using the Porcelaine 150 Markers by Pebeo or the Leafing Pens by Krylon. - Answered by MisterArt on 04-Feb-13Are the sharpie paint pens water-based? - Asked by Don on 18-Jan-13
Answer
The Paint Markers by Sharpie are oil-based. - Answered by MisterArt on 18-Jan-13I bought 3 of these Sharpie Paint pens last year and they have evidently dried out. Is there anything I can do to "revive" them? - Asked by Linda Nelson on 12-Dec-12
Answer
Because these markers are permanent, once they are dried out, you would not be able to reuse them. We do not have a mathematical formula to figure how long a permanent marker will "last". With outdoor exposure on a nonporous surface, the marks from a dye base marker will be gone in perhaps three to four months. With indoor exposure on a porous surface, like artist canvas or paper, we would expect marks from a dye base marker to last several years. - Answered by MisterArt on 17-Dec-12How wide is the tip on the broad markers? - Asked by Lonita on 21-Sep-12
Answer
Broad tipped Sharpie Paint Markers are a little less than 3/4 in. wide. - Answered by MisterArt on 02-Jan-13Is this paint permanent enough to use on wire jewelry components where it will get some wear? - Asked by Lonita on 21-Sep-12
Answer
