I use the Graphic 3000 Duo Marker exclusively for the comic strips I do... both for print and for the web. They mimic the feel of a brush perfectly for me... with no repetative dipping needed. I love these things and recomend them to all comic artists in need of a quick way to do brush inking.

I've been trying different brushes or markers to ink with and these work really well. Like others have said, the tip gives you the flexibility for nice line weight. I'd order these again.

I use Staedtler Graphic 3000 Duo Marker for all my live caricatures. I don't know what else I would use. I have never used any other marker with the ability to make thick and thin lines all in one stroke. I also appreciate the fact that its water based which means no harmful fumes.

Excellent pen for caricatures. Foam tip holds up really well (it runs out of ink before the tip breaks down) and has great line variation. Plus, the ink doesn't stink! It is, however, water based, so will run if rained on. I use these pens excelusively now for caricatures and hope they are NEVER discontinued.

The array of colors allows as well as the "duo" points for line thickness allows very interesting and subtle sketching.

Loved the brushlike end very smooth and loved he magenta.

My partner has been using Mars graphic markers for 20 years. They are the best markers for hair he has ever found. He carries multiple duplicates for each color and uses them at all conventions/signings. In fact, many of our friends and fellow artist use them after seeing his work.

These markers work great! The fluidity of the line and variations of the lines are perfect. One of the best I have seen. Works great for many appplications. They last long, and the tips wont break.

I think that these markers are great. They are able to flex adequately. My only regret is that the flexible point is quite larger than I expected (approximately 5/32" at its widest part). I would have liked to know that before I bought them. Nevertheless they do well as long as you realize that they have a large tip.

I love these pens. They are wonderful for sketching outdoors. I have the different grays. They make doing value sketching so simple...then when I get back to the studio, I can begin my watercolors. They flow so easily that I can have a sketch done pretty fast.

by far the most brush-like of the brush pens available. super-smooth and razor-sharp lines in a wide range of colors. far more durable than other pen brushes. lasts a loooonng time without fraying.

I do rubber stamping. These markers are great for coloring embossed or dye stamped images. The colors stay very true to what is expected.

Have really good selections and are goo for drawing, very delicate

I use these for most of my line work. They are very smooth and create a look of fluidity in my artwork. They're also quite forgiving of my naturally shaky hands. They are a great way to achieve that brush-stroke look without the mess and hassle (and risk of ruining your picture). My only complaint is that the ink doesn't fully dry for nearly 8 hours.

I'd give them a six star rating because they are truly better than all the rest - by far! Does anyone know where they are now sold separately?

These markers have a very flexible tip and work just like a brush, in a way. however, if you work with them, i recommend buying the whole set. they are difficult if impossible to mix on illutration board and I'd suggest trying to work with them before buying. If you are a beginner working in combination w/ another medium such as guache, I'd suggest trying watercolor pencils as well.

I've never used a marker that makes it this easy to shade- you can create a great variety of line widths and achieve great accuracy. They're definitely better than the Prismacolor markers I've used.

CARICATURE ARTISTS After the Design Art Markers were pulled off the shelf for toxicity, I was at a loss what to use for caricature drawings. I'd been using Design markers for the past 14 years and had to find a replacement, even though I bought up the last remaining ones I could find in Canada--I knew they couldn't last forever. Sharpies were too blunt and stiff, Office Depot markers weren't black enough, Tombow brush markers got fuzzy--then I stumbled across these babies. They are my new best friends. I use them--all colors--for caricatures. The tips are super tough, yet flexible, because they are made of dense foam rubber, not compressed shredded fibers, like most markers. And although I don't use the fine point end, I get every drop of ink out of them by ripping the fine point end off with pliers, taking out the cartidge of ink, and replacing the empty cartridge in the flexible foam end with it. These markers are durable, make lovely fine and thick lines, and the colors are good, too. But mostly I use up the blacks and grays for caricatures. I am a party artist, so go through hundreds of these a year, and they are worth it. One marker lasts through about 1 1/2 hours of caricature drawing, at 5 minutes per drawing. I use 85 lb. cover stock, which is pretty absorbent, but considering what we make an hour, the $2 price per marker is a good deal.

As a professional artist and caricaturist, I find that these markers have the versatility of line thickness/thinness. They deliver the immediate, expressive, dark line that I seek in my work. The very best!
