Be careful. I bought the large set and all my painting stopped because the pencil set was seductive. What a fine upgrade in quality with Derwent. I had no trouble sharpening them to a rather longish point and have had no trouble with breakage...they sort of do all the work for you.

I received the 36 pencil assortment from my daughter for mothers day, what a wonderful surprise! I am really enjoying trying the different types of charcoals and pencils, and am learning new techniques with the different mediuems,and my daughter is now interested also. Thanks for a great product.

This kit is very cool. It has everything, but is a bit bigger than I anticipated. The tin case is thin but durable and fits well into a medium sized suitcase. The quality of the different mediums is very nice and the sharpener and sanding pad are very handy. :o)
