C style pens are ideal for Roman, texts, italic lettering and for accented line drawing, scrolls and scripts. Pen sizes decrease as numbers increase, C-0 being the largest and C-6 the smallest. Pen holders sold separately. Use with Speedball No. 9451 Pen Holder, General's Cork Grip Pen Holder, Koh-I-Noor No. 130N Crow Quill Pen Holder, or Speedball Classic Pen Holders.

Set of 6 includes one each of C-0, C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4 and C-5 of the C series pen sizes and a pen holder.

Set of 4 includes C-1, C-2, C-3 and C-4 of the C series nibs, two fine Hunt nibs for ornamental work and a pen holder.

I've been using these nibs for my calligraphy work for years. I've tried different nibs/pens but these nibs are the best size and have the best control and last through multiple projects before needing replacing. I highly recommend.

These are good beginner's nibs. They don't splatter as much as some, even when moving the pen up. It loads and controls ink very well. If carefully dipped and scraped a few times against the bottle lip, it won't make many blots and splots, the bane of all dip pen writers. So loading ink with a brush isn't absolutely essential.

I use Speedball nibs for my students because they are not too stiff & the well for the ink is good.
