These pens are really good. I have both this and the Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph 7 pen set. In my opinion the Staedtler are a better design. The Rapidograph, they put the cap screw very close to the ring and body screw. So it is very easy to unscrew the wrong things when trying to open take off the cap unless you put your fingers really close to the cap you're trying to remove. This issue is much better dealt with in the Staedtlers since the body screw is a reasonable distance from the cap screw. I also think that the Staedlers glides a bit better on paper. It snags less than the Rapidographs. The advantage of the Rapidographs is that they are easier to get and buy just the size you want. The nib of the Staedlers alone (just the nib itself) does not fit on the Koh-I-Noor syringe bulb pen cleaner, but if you put the Staedler's nib in it's assembly, it will fit the syringe bulb.

These Staedtler Mars pens work very well, and are of a good quality. So far no problems, true to the high standard set by the Staedtler name. They can be fit with either stainless steel or jewel tips which is an advantage.

I have been using Staedtler technical pens for almost 25 years and I have never had any problems with them,as a matter of fact,I still have my fist set and I am still using them.
