This is a wonderful easel!!! i couldn't ask for any better. It's extremely sturdy for sketching and painting. I cant wait to get started on some projects!

Very handy, but the easel portion is not as adjustable as I would like, and the clasps for the drawer sometimes don't work.

I love this easel. I have limited space to work in and this was the prefect solution. It's well built and functions beautifully. Also they shipped it to Hawaii quickly, almost never happens.

This is a quality item. It was ordered as a gift for my 10 year old grandson, but now I am going to order 2 more of these easels..one for myself and one for my sister.

How did I get anything done without this easel? I got it as a treat to myself but I'd put it on the necessity list now!

What can I say? Well Windsor and Newton have produced a high quality, robust and compact easel. I am returning to sketching and painting after a break of about 15 years. This easel is perfect for anyone who has limited space and also needs storage for all of their brushes, pastels etc. In addition, the drawer has ample storage and locks when not in use. I LOVE IT because it opens to my left, a real bonus for a lefty artist! :)

I have got to say that I have never been more pleased with an easel in my life! This easel is a giant workhorse in a compact little body. It is very steady, locks into place nicely and doesn't budge, and I can't believe how large it extends to accomodate larger pieces. I used it for painting on canvas as well as sketching on illustration board and it works nicely for all of it! The storage is more than ample, as a matter of fact, it's surprisingly roomy and I love the way the drawer is partitioned. Topping it all off is the cushy, elegant leather handle...the quality we have come to expect from Windsor and Newton. This is a terrific alternative to a larger easel and takes up far less space. I had originally looked at french easels with the drawers, but I really liked the fact that I could sit this on a desk or drafting table. I didn't need the legs because I don't have the space in my studio and I never go out and paint in the woods or anything. Go ahead and add this item to your cart. You won't be disappointed!

I bought this as a gift for my sister-in-law who is quite talented. She liked it so much that she stopped cooking dinner and immediately opened the box. The fact that it was a Winsor & Newton was a big plus and reminded her of home. She especially liked that she could keep her art supplies in the drawer and carry this around so easily. With 2 young kids, it's hard to have a workable studio. I would definitely recommend this to others. It was a big hit.

I LOVE this easel. It's a great space saver, easy to use, and holds a lot larger canvases than other table easels I've seen.

FANTASTIC!!! You will love this easel if space is an issue! The easel itself holds a wide variety of canvas sizes, and it locks firmly in place. A problem I've had with other table top easels is the wobble - this one is VERY steadfast! As for the drawer - I was under the impression that it was just a tiny little thing, good for a few basics. Wrong! The drawer holds EVERYTHING! I unloaded all my supplies out of my art bin and into the drawer, with room for a few spare items too! If your table is wide enough, you have everything you need right there next to you! It makes putting everything away a breeze - just slide the drawer closed, fold down the easel and fasten it in place! Plus the carry handle makes it easy to tote around if you work outdoors! I've gone through a few table easels, and this one is absolutely the best I've used! But then again, it's a Windsor Newton, so you really can't beat it!

This is the perfect easel. My mobility is limited and with this easel I can sit and paint and have everything right at hand. I highly recommend it.

I've just started acrylic painting and needed an easel. This has been a great easel at a better price than I could find in the local art stores for a comparable product.

This is a wonderful easel, especially for someone left-handed.

After researching easels for all possible painting environments, I came across this life saver. Perfect for limited space when painting and the quality and durability was better then expected. It stored all of my supplies - - and whether you choose to stand or sit, the easel is flexible..sturdy..and accessible. Overall this was such a great investment and I recommend it to any artist. I'm all smiles.

Lovely piece of kit, really nicely put together from decent materials. It makes a great gift and should last a lifetime. For watercolour adjusting to a low angle (10 to 20 degree) isnt quite as secure as 30 degree plus but it does zero degree/flat nicely when needed for washes. Fully vertical, ie for dusty pastels, it is only possible to extend the upper support (so giving a 24" size limit) as the lower one fouls the box. One irritation is the drawer, the walls between the sections are low so small items like 5ml tubes and pencils fall out of their section when you carry it. Bigger items are fine and the items cant get lost from the box as it is very secure. Love mine :)
