This is not a comment on MisterArt, which is great place to buy art supplies, but this archaic pens are the pitts. Thirty years ago, everybody used these old rapidographs and complained about them constantly. You got ink all over your hands, they clogged up unless you were using them on daily basis, and the fine line points like the 000 clogged up continuously even as you used them. Graphic designers used to have jars of the solvent soaking the points trying to unclog them. Places like Hallmark even had vibrating machines to try to unclog the points so they didn't have to keep replacing them. The Rotring Rapidoliners that were cartridges with the "attached throw away pen points" were a huge improvement until they were discontinued sometimes around 2000. I totally dislike the results of doing technical drawing on the computer (very stiff and time consuming) and I was hoping Koh I Noor had maybe had wised up and was finally producing the Rapidoliners again. I wish I could find a pen to purchase here, but I don't think I want to return to this archaic technology.

These are the same pens with which I struggled years ago; got ink on my hands, etc. If you are going to spend this kind of money go for the fabulous new Rotring Rapidigraph with a cartridge. Same great technical pen-no clogging and no mess. I'm thrilled; only wish Rotring made them in a set. I had to buy them one at a time. But, then it was love at first use........... Mister Art has the best prices around and everything one could need with very few exceptions. I just love this site...........

I asked a friend of mine about this pen set, he knows a lot about this sort of stuff. He told me to buy it right now that this was a great price. I tried them out the day they came in mail. I just loved how smooth the ink flow was and how I had all these pen sizes right there handy like. I am not sure it will improve my lettering skills but it sure is a lot more fun to practice. As always the right tool for the job makes things go a whole lot smoother.
