I have been using Academy watercolors for over 20 years. They have rich colors and are consistant in hue. I have tried many other brands, but I always come back to Grumbacker

My usage (of opaque water-based colors) requires a high quality of pigment combined with an "ease" of preparation and usage combined with - AND MOST IMPORTANTLY (for me) - flexibility and versatility. "Grumbacher" has always represented those elements for me.
