This is my first time using the lino blocks, but they are very easy to cut compared to wood and you can achieve a darkness on artwork that with wood will show the grain.

These are great. You can cut a reasonably thin line with nice edges, and it's still softer than hard woods. I recommend these highly.

I bought these for my first attempt at block cutting and found them very handy to print with because of the backing, but the carving surface is very hard. It probably gets easier to cut with practice, but I definitely found the softer pink block I got a lot easier to cut. If you're working with kids, these may not be your best option; I'd probably go for something softer. I was pleased with the results, though; these blocks hold an edge nicely for good sharp lines.

I picked this block up for a weekend project. I had fond memories of this type of art project from high school and thought this would be a good place to start creating. I was dismayed at first as it was difficult to carve as I have chronic tennis elbow. Inspiration struck and I placed it upside down on my heating pad. Voila, cuts like butter! I've used this one block in a variety of printing projects without a difference in the outcome from project 1 to 17.

These blocks are working out great for me. I am currently carving a very ornate pattern, and these blocks are allowing me to maintain the smallest details. I highly recommend them.

These blocks are really stiff!! if you are looking for something that holds up and doesn't crumble with natural wear, these blocks are great. They are harder to carve b/c of it, but worth it for the durability of the block.

I was very happy with the linoleum block I purchased. I wanted a large frog stamp to put on the walls of my babies room but could not find one big enough. I checked Michaels and Hobby Lobby but neither had stamps or the big linoleum blocks. So I check it out here and am almost finished carving my big stamp.
