Crayola Drawing Chalk produces strong, brilliant colors for artwork on paper and surfaces other than chalkboards. Easy to use, the chalk can be blended directly by applying one color over another or by rubbing with fingers.

Each stick is 3 3/16 in. x 3/8 in.

These are great! An excellent, very inexpensive alternative for kids and adults alike, when trying for a chalk pastel look. We used them with water on construction paper for a painterly effect.

Such beautiful, vibrant colors. However, I purchased these for young children (3 and 5) and found that they break easily and become frustrating for such young hands.

Crayola drawing chalk is excellent for the novice and reticent budding artist. The colors are vivid and they blend well on almost any type of paper. They are also excellent for highlights and shading on tole-painting projects (just use a q-tip to apply) and scrap booking. In addition, they are less than half the price of color boxes. My only complaint is that they stain fabric and carpet -- so we wear smocks and do our projects over hard surfaces which vaccuum up easily.
