I do mosaics and use pieces which I find at Goodwill and other thrift stores. These pieces can frequently be in pretty bad shape and in need of a lot of work to refinish them. Sometimes no matter how much I do, the wood not covered by my mosaic designs still needs something to make it a treasure. Then I will do a weathered wood "crackle" finish and this product works very well to give me the effect I want. I have found that I need to use a thicker layer of the medium with this product than others I have used, but the finished result is much more consistent and uniform so it is well worth it. I will definitely continue to use this product in my work. And the price can't be beat.
