This is an excellent canvas! Because it has a bit more tooth than ultra smooth canvases, the paint bonds very well to it. It is also not what I would call a "paint guzzler", but accepts the paint smoothly, without multiple coatings and without destroying the brushes of the more vigorous painters. It stretches well, is an excellent base for a work of fine art and is, overall, well worth its cost.
