Pretested Oil Sets

by Grumbacher

Grumbacher Max Oil paints are a professional line of water miscible oil paint. Max paints dilute using water instead of conventional solvents, making clean-up easier on your hands and tools. Put an end to using harsh, toxic solvents to clean your brushes without sacrificing premium quality in your paints! Max Oils have the same buttery feel, drying time, and traditional appearance as conventional oil paints. Tests show that a painting done with Max Oil Colors will last as long as one done with conventional oil colors, provided the basic principles of oil painting are followed. You can even mix Max Oils with your favorite mediums to glaze, speed drying, and improve flow, yet still wash up with simple soap and water.

The Basic set includes: Grumbacher red, ultramarine, zinc yellow, burnt sienna, raw umber, and titanium white.
24 milliliter tubes.

Ask a Question

Can you use walnut oil with water miscible paints, specifically this brand?

- Asked by Maureen on 05-Mar-13

Yes you can, however these paints are meant to be used with water only. Your results will vary according to your use and the paint's properties.

- Answered by MisterArt on 14-Mar-13

I want to set up my studio in a garage with no heat. The question concerns the storage of my oil paints and low temperature. Can I keep my tubes of oil paints and medium in a garage that could go below freezing?

- Asked by Regina L:ewis on 16-Jan-13

The Pretested Oil Colors by Grumbacher should be stored at room temperature. Exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, or other severe conditions (cold) will ruin the paints.
