Ask a Question

Are the dimensions stated in.interior in. dimensions? So would a 16 in. x 20 in. display board fit in a 17 in. X 22 in. portfolio?

- Asked by Doug K. on 31-Jul-13

These portfolio dimensions are for what size pieces they will hold, not over-all dimensions. So this is probably a bit larger than 17 in. x 22 in., to accommodate 17 in. x 22 in. (or smaller) pieces.

This is now my favorite hard-sided portfolio, in all its sizes. I need hard-sided portfolios to transport quite a few paintings at a time; the portfolios get squeezed together in transit, so the hard sides protect the canvases inside. Probably any similar portfolio will do, but these have two great features that I need when I carry one portfolio for local use and I am carrying it for a long period. First, they have an additional handle set into one side, that enables carrying the portflio under-arm, very helpful, especially in a wind. Second, they have a feature I need when I carry the portfolio by the top handle. Other portfolios have hard handles that hurt my hand. These top handles are the most comfortable I have ever found because they are more flexible.

I love this portfolio for my 12 year old daughter. Now she can keep all her art work in one place!

I was a bit disappointed because the portfolio is difficult to zip closed when there are items inside. I bought the 3" wide one, hoping that I could carry my stuff in one load...I can, but zipping it up is not easy.

I am very happy with my portfolio. It came in a timely fashion and it is of good quality. It is very hard to find a portfolio that isn't made with cardboard. My Art Portfolio teacher recommended this site and this quality of portfolio.
