No more wasted paint. This palette system keeps acrylics and other water-based paints moist on the open palette for hours. Put your palette inside. Once the lid is closed, the paints will stay in workable condition for days, even weeks. A wet sponge and special permeable palette paper provide the paint with a constant source of moisture. Paints will not dry out. The air-tight container can be used to store oil paints also. (Oil palette paper not included.) Workable area is 16 in. x 12 in. Each palette contains five sheets of Sta-Wet acrylic palette paper, cellulose sponge, palette tray and lid and complete instructions for preparation and use. Sponge and paper refills sold separately.

To be honest, when I first got this pallette it took me a half an hour and almost ruining it just to get the lid OFF the first time. Once it was OFF, I have never been able to get it back ON. I don't have 45 minutes to spend after painting struggling with the pallette on the floor or strong table, vainly trying to seal the edges. I really don't know if they all do this, apparently not, but when I am done painting, I put the lid on top and put one of my painting books on top. It isn't at all sealed, but it does still at least keep my paint usable.

This tool has revolutionized my painting; I can now paint with acrylics in a way I never thought possible. There is nothing like it! I think this is the most important art invention since acrylic paint!

What are you waiting for? Why haven't you bought one of these yet? I bought both (this one has a VERY tight lid) and both fit in my rucksack. Go down to the glazier and have him cut you a piece of glass & you'll have a teriffic, portable palette for oils or acrylics that wont get paint all over your clothes, kids, car seats, dog......

This palette is unbelievable! I put some paint on the palette and could not get back to my project until about 2 weeks later. Well, much to my surprise, all the paint was as fresh as ever...and no skin. The only problem I have is getting the lid off. My hands are not very strong, so I get someone else to open it for me. Guess that's why the paint stays so fresh. This is a keeper!

The pallet with airtight lid is perfect for storing paints in the freezer till I am ready to paint again. Worth every cent it cost and your to be commented on the rapid responce to all my purchases

My daughter, to whom I gave one of the pallets that I ordered, and I are both very impressed with the fact that our paints have stayed moist and usable for so long as two weeks. I am using the Masterson Sta-Wet palette for most of the primary colors that I am using another small palette for paints of which I need only a little pigment. My daughter has suggested that the first paper that I used, is more suitable for framing than the painting I was working on. She may be right.

I have three stay wet palettes Iuse them for oils as well as acrylics. They work great for transporting prepared palettes to and form classes and for keeping my paint workable for longer periods of time. I would recommend them to any artist

I just love this palette! Paint stays moist for days. It is terrific when you need the color you mixed to be consistant if you are doing a multi-canvass piece, or if you are forced to stop you work and begin again at a later date.

The palette keeps the paints moist and workable for a long time. Some colors do run and they absorb the moisture but it states that in the set up instructions. Very happy with the product.

Forget keeping paints wet for weeks, this product will keep paints moist (no skimming over) and ready for use for well over a month. After a lengthy illness, I opened my Masterson Premier Palette and began using my acrylics right where I left off. Love, love this product. Love it so much, I've ordered the Masterson Pal Palette for my "traveling palette". I have tried a number of palettes that advertise they keep paints moist for days, none, absolutely none come up to the Masterson Palettes. They do exactly what they say and MORE! Also, Mister Art can't be beat for service and speed in shipping. Review written by a totally satisfied customer.

Sorry to read the review by Cindy B. as it is the exception & not the rule! If anyone has a problem with the lid, contact Masterson directly within 2 years & they will replace the lid. Now, for the palette ... I wouldn't be without it! I learned of it from Jerry Yarnell, but being a frugal cheapskate I tried to "invent" one. It did help some, but finally realized the Masterson was worth every penny charged for it! It has "legs' on the inside of the lid to keep the palette or paper in place. DO read untill digested, the instructions for set up before using to get the best results. I LOVE it! My acrylics stay workable for weeks!

I recently started acrylic painting and travel to my class. I started out with the small Masterson's Sta-Wet Handy Palette and loved that. It was apparent very soon afterwards that I needed much more room for my paints and mixing. I love the Sta-Wet Premiere Palette! The paints stay perfectly wet in this handy case for weeks. I can mix paints at class and still have the colors I need when I am ready to finish my work at home. Love, Love, this product. A must for any painter!
