Midwest’s Basswood is economical, highly workable, and has great finishing qualities. Selectively cut in Northern Michigan and Wisconsin, it possesses a close, tight, homogenous grain structure that makes it ideal for a wide variety of hobbies, crafts, and miniatures.

Basswood is great for carving and, when thin, it can easily be cut with a hobby knife. Basswood can also be stained or painted to represent any wood type.

Also available in sticks.

A real deal in comparison with store prices. Fast shipping too! My wood was here in less than a week of ordering. Good quality wood that's ideal for models. Definately would buy again.

Delivery quick and reasonably priced. Product generally high standard but occasional hard wood from area close to tree core makes carving difficult. Warping is minimal and some is to be expected. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and service. Thank you.

I use basswood sheets for pyrography projects. Was unable to find what I wanted anywhere else, nor at such a great price. Arrived quickly, well packed, and of superb quality -- finegrained, straight, and to exact size. I'll be back for more.

If you need a miniature to look like it is made of real wood this is the stuff to use, because of the tight grain structure.

the bass wood is top quality, strait grain and true no twisted, demensions are not under sized, I order here because the local hobby shops don't stock the quntity I want and the prices are lower, I scratch build large RC tugboats

This Bass wood is great for making dollhouse miniatures. It is easy to cut and has the right grain for these projects.
