Acid-free. An economical heavyweight paper in a choice of two surfaces. Smooth is ideal for fine pen & ink, pencil and mechanical drawing. Vellum has a slight "tooth" and is designed for a broad range of drawing and painting including crayon, pencil, charcoal and watercolor or gouache. Both surfaces are ideal for airbrush. 20 sheets per pad.

Amazing! Shipped so fast and was exactly what I had been searching for. Living in a small town and not having drawn in 2 years is frustrating for finding things and I have to rely on the internet. I now have 3 commissions and was desparate. Not only were your prices great but you actually showed a picture of the cover of the paper pad. I couldn't remember all the details of the paper I had been working with and I recognized the photo of the cover picture immediately. I got exactly what I was looking for-- thank you!

I bought this paper as a gift for my husband. He likes this brand of bristol paper (in smooth surface) for both pencil and ink drawings. We had been unable to find the 19" x 24" size pad in stores, and I was happy to be able to order it through MisterArt.

This paper is wonderful to work on. The surface is smooth enough to glide across for light touches. The retention of charcoal is just right. Not too much dust and the image can be erased and adjusted easily. The overall color is excellent.

Excellent for smooth tones in graphite. Can withstand a lot of pressure, lots of erasing, and vigorous blending. Vellum holds darks better, but isn't as good for baby's skin as the smooth (plate). I don't give it a best rating because I'm finding I don't like it as much as arches hotpress. But definitely an excellent surface for drawing that I will continue to use whenever appropriate.

Smooth, excellent with colored pencil. Vellum has just enough tooth to keep it interesting.

I like the surface of these boards a lot, as well as the weight. It takes some getting used to though, as it absorbs colors from markers instantly. If I liked pastel colors it would probably be perfect. I intend to keep on working with it, if for no other reason than it is tough enough to stand up to my rough techniques!

Bristol board with the smooth finish is the ONLY thing I use for my pencil drawings. It is heavier than most drawing papers, and it is wonderful to use when blending/shading with a paper stump because it has no texture. Plus Mister Art has more sizes -- at a much lower rate (even with shipping) -- than my local craft store!

I purchased some of this smooth Bristol board to use with anime'in gel pens. I was less than satisfied with the results with the gel pens, as it left a scratchy look on the portrait... However, I discovered it exceeds excellence for work with soft pastels. The pastels blend smoothly, the colours stay vibrant, and I am very pleased with the effects. It is also great for pencil sketches. I would buy it again for the pastel and pencil sketches, but for the gel pens, I'd recommend generic sketch pad paper as your best bet.

This paper is great for students who are learning to draw. It is very forgiving when a mistake is made. It is also very durable. It is the only paper I use in my drawing classes!

I have used this product for years, and I have found it to be great for any medium. I use it mostly with pen and ink and watercolor pencils. Also I like it because it has a texture which scans nicely on my scanner without leaving traces of a "background" texture.

I use this board primarily for finished pencil or ink drawings. -This is a good choice for pen and ink linework, since it costs less than many other boards and provides good results. -The board holds up to a white plastic eraser just fine. -It holds ink very well with almost no bleeding. -Results with Prismacolor markers were less than satisfactory, as there is quite a bit of bleeding.
