This stretched cotton canvas is made from 8 oz. cotton duck, a heavier weight, superior quality cloth with medium grain surface. Triple coated with acid free sizing and two coats of highly pigmented acrylic primer, its balanced absorbency and tooth prevents sinking of oil colors and improves adhesion.

Its frame has been specially constructed with kiln fired, beveled stretcher bars, and the canvas has been stretched by hand for best tension and tailored corners. The canvas is 1 1/2 in. deep and stapled on the back, so its edges can be painted to display works with or without a frame.

The Artists’ Canvas DeepEdge is ideal for use with oil (including water mixable), acrylic, and alkyd color, and for all techniques, including heavy paint applications. It’s also useful for home décor solutions.

Canvases 24 in. x 24 in. through 24 in. x 36 in. come with one additional support bar. Canvases 24 in. x 48 in. and larger come with two additional support bars.

These canvases do not have square corners! I have ordered them in the past and had trouble with them and tried again recently and they are not usable. Don't order these. You will be wasting your money. Well, unless you don't mind if your canvas is crooked!

The 36x24 canvas stretcher bar warped to no repair. I heard a loud crack and two days later noticed that the canvas was warped. Not so sure about this product now.

This is now my favorite pre-stretched canvas. I have tried many brands and this is the best quality all of the brands I have tried. The other brands needed another coat of gesso before painting in oils; not this Winsor & Newton Artists' Canvas DeepEdge. I love it. Great price too! Thanks!

I'm currently doing a mixed media series of six -- all at the same time! -- using the 6" x 6" and I just love it -- the additional staple-free depth is significant enough to warrant five-sided artwork -- I'm loving them!!

Always happy with Misterart.com and the WN Deep Edge Canvases. My clients prefer them over studio canvases and I have never had a problem with Misterart.com. Often I need canvases at the last minute and have always receieved my product on time (if not earlier than expected). The prices are also fantastic.
