New packaging makes it nearly impossible to read the name of the color. Have heard new owners of W+N are making more diluted paints, but have not worked with this one enough yet to tell.

New packaging makes it nearly impossible to read the name of the color. Have heard new owners of W+N are making more diluted paints, but have not worked with this one enough yet to tell.

I love these paints. Depth of color, easy mixing, and they are easy to work with. I have tried other brands and I will stick to Winsor Newton from now on.

I love the Winsor & Newton paints! They have vibrancy and cover well. I've tried others, and now am fully converted to using W&N paints only!
Rated by: Cina B. in Nashua, NH
Fellow painters and I agree -- this is the top of the line for watercolor paints. I have never been disappointed in the quality -- it's great for vibrancy and for transparency.
Rated by: Candis H. in Plymouth Meeting, PA
I gave this as a gift and it was enthusiastically received, particularly the diversity of colors.

I will only purchase Winsor & Newton Artists' water colour paints. They are the BEST!
Rated by: Jim C. in Seattle, WA
Excellent. The paint disolves completely giving you smooth consistent color. Highly recommend.

Wonderful colors with true, rich pigment that blends, layers, and holds easily. Brilliant colors! In fact, Winsor Artists' Water Colour has 2 of my very favorite shades out there: Winsor Deep Red (the red I've been looking for all of my life! lol) and Green Gold!

Winsor & Newton Artists' Water Colour are without a doubt the Best colors available.

I haven't used any other brands, as a new comer to water color, but I love these so I keep buying more and more and more colors LOL
Rated by: Cindy B. in Grand Junction, CT
I am new to watercolor, but WN totally met my expectations from what I researched.

I am self taught and from the first, I have been lucky enough to have been purchasing Winsor & Newton Watercolors. At first, I only ordered what I had read was the best. Since then I have purchased most brands and I can say that you will never go wrong buying these. Fantastic product, fantastic quality, you will always be happy with this brand, it is one of the best, if not the best.

I teach watercolor and recommend W-N to my students. A consistent product with the right balance of pigment.
Rated by: Larry P. in midpines, CA
I've used many different brands of watercolors, and by far I'd have to say that this brand is superior. The washes are consistent. I am very pleased with Windsor and Newton.
Rated by: Ellen B. in Corvallis, OR
Winsor Newton is the only w/c I have used which did not eventually form mold on the surface, even in very hot and humid weather.
Rated by: Gerald R. B. in Tellico Plaines, TN
Yes! Winsor and Newton is the best by far. I have been into water colors since 1940.When I started out I shopped at Greenes in Mich. I asked everybody what brand to use as I didn't want to find out later that I was buying a poor quality paint. Well I never did get an answer so I had to learn the hard way, that is I kept buying until I bought Winsor Newton. When cheaper brands are made they use fillers like sawdust and other things, So if you were to paint a line using a cheaper brand and a line with Winsow newton, the latter line would be twice as long as the first. Thus Winsor newton came out just as cheap (in price) as the other brands. I use winsor and Newton exclusivelly now. The paints are almost all of just one pigment. This also gives us more for our money. The new additions are a new love to me and I use them all. I prefer to buy the tubes in the 37 mil as it is a lot cheaper in the long run. I just spent $600.00 on supplies. I am very sorry that I didn't know about Mr Art when I bought them as I would have saved much more money. With the price of gas as it is I would haved saved rven more by placing an order. I have been painting in watercolor for 69 years and I would be glad to answer ant questions.

Winsor & Newton Artists' Water Colours maintain excellent control over many different surfaces. They mix well with water for easy blending, lifting, or layering for anywhere from soft to bold lines, without unwanted bleeding.

My Winsor & Newton watercolors are, as always, vivid and reliable. I love my new Quinacridone Magenta! The violets I'm getting are absurdly beautiful.

WINSOR & NEWTON Artists' Water Colors are very high quality paints. A little dab of paint goes a long way.

I purchased a tube of Windsor Newton's Rose Madder Genuine due to the excellent rating Hilary Page gave it in her "Guide to Watercolor Paints". She was absolutely right-this color is beatiful and performs very well. For those watercolorists who like to lift off- Rose Madder Genuine lifts easily and cleanly. There is much intensity to the color, and is LIGHTFAST- which many Rose Madder Genuine's can not boast. What more could I ask for in a watercolor? This has quickly become one of my favorite colors to use.

I love these paints, and it's nice to get them at a discount. Everything arrived on time.

I am a professional artist and have been painting watercolors for 32 years. As far as I'm concerned Winsor and Newton artist watercolors are the best watercolors paint in the world. They are smooth and the colors remained true. Stanley

Pure, VERY transparent! I use this brand in all my watercolors. The best!!! Each color is very clean and not gummy. My art teacher only trusts these colors in her paintings that she does for several companies, and I do too. Whenever I need a color I purchase from MisterArt.com. A+ in watercolor!!!!

Pure - true colors.
Rated by: Debora M. in Pinson, AL
These watercolors have wonderful consistancy and purest pigment I have found so far. They are moderately priced too, so they're great for artists and students too.

The Cadillac of watercolors!
Rated by: Jason M. in APO, AE
I am still somewhat new to watercolors and have used student grade paints. There is no question that artist's grade paints make a tremendous difference and WN offer a wide variety of colors from which to choose. Consistency is solid and you know you are getting a good product.

If your serious about watercolors winsor and newton is the only choice. Their variety is inexhaustable and their quality is unmatched. They're a little pricy but Misterart.com has the best price on them that I have found. Much better than local art stores, and like I said they're really the only choice for beautiful, even, vibrant watercolors.
Rated by: David D. in Moiunt Laurel, NJ
Winsor & Newton is a top-of-the-line watercolor. It's only disadvantage is that it is pricey. However, MisterArt.com makes it affordable.

Good quality. Will buy again.

This is the first, but certainly not the last time I will use these paints. Fantastic color. Way better than student paints although more expensive. However price in this case does make a difference

I have used Winsor and Newton paints since my first college class in 1968. The colors are rich and the paint seems to last forever. My paintings from over 30 years ago look like I just painted them.
Rated by: Melissa C. in Indianapolis, IN
Excellent pigments with great flow and moveability (is that a word?!). Great color for a good price.
Rated by: Connie B. in Batavia, IL
I've used many different brands of watercolors, and by far I'd have to say that this brand reigns superior. The washes are consistent and smooth without the grainy effect you get with some other brands. I am very pleased with Windsor and Newton, which is one of the reasons Ive had to start buying my supplies online, nobody in my area has them.
Rated by: Patricia F. in Jacksonville, FL
Winsor & Newton Artist Watercolors remain supreme. I have used them for a very long time. Their quality never changes. Their colors remain true.
Rated by: MS H. in Honolulu, HI
This brand is the premiere watercolor paint. It is the only choice among professionals.
Rated by: June H. in Las Vegas, NM
The best water colours, use from light washes, to strong line, the colours hold there tone, no fade out. "Also the colours are the same from tube to tube, no change in pigment. Love the way the colors dry bright and full. Not much change from wet to dry.
Rated by: Kelly M. in Notre Dame, IN
Excellent color that remains suspended in water. Lasting and beautiful. I have used these and Grumbachers, and I infinitely prefer the WN Artist.
