The porcelain base of the Yasutomo mixing dish allows me to keep each mixing chamber perfectly clean after mixing Marshall photo dyes.

This palette is superb for mixing a range of tempera tones following the techniques of Daniel Thompson. Nine is a perfect number for fine work. The porcelain is easy to clean, even if the egg tempera hardens.

I picked 2 of these up for use in painting pewter miniatures. I paint with all acrylics, and the segmented dishes really make it easy to mix several colors at once even when watered down to get blending right. Clean-up is easy and complete leaving no stains behind. I highly recommend.
