I've bought and used many different palettes over the years and this is by far my favorite. I first saw it when the instructor in a class I took had one. I went on a search and was happy to find it here at MisterArt.com. The large center area makes it easy to mix different large puddles of colors. The wells hold plenty of paint (at least for me) and I like the way the lid locks down. It is made of lightweight yet very durable plastic. Highly recommended!!

I had bought another watercolor palette at a local store, but wasn't satisfied with the way the lid fit or the amount of space I had for mixing colors. This is a much better product, well designed. And, as an added bonus, you get instructions that are actually fun to read.

Wonderful palette! I bought one a long time ago, and I haven't seen any comparable since, so I recently bought 2 more from, another one for myself and one for a friend. Very sturdy, large mixing areas, easy to clean, and very convenient for storing.

By far the best watercolor palette I've ever used. I bought one a few years back for myself, and just now bought a second one for myself, and one for a friend. Very sturdy, good wells, great mixing areas, easy to store and clean. The watercolors stay fresh in the wells, even after weeks or more of non-use, so no wasted paint. I picked up my previously bought palette, that I hadn't used in over a year, and I could still revive the "dried" paint in the wells by adding water. A must have!

I HAVE USED MY JOHN PIKE BIG WELL PALETTE FOR OVER 5 YEARS IN MY STUDIO, ON TRIPS, AND TEACHING CLASSES IN AND AROUND LAPAZ, BAJA CALIF. , MEXICO.. IT HAS NO CRACKS OR ANY SIGNS OF AGE EXCEPT A FEW STAINS FROM THOSE STANING PIGMENTS LIKE ALIZERIN CRIMSON.. I LIKE THE WAY I CAN USE 2 INCH BRUSHES IN THE WIDE WELLS AND THE TINY RIDGE IN FRONT OF EACH WELL WHICH KEEPS THE PUDDLES OF COLORS FROM ENTERING AND CONTAMINATING MY FRESH PIGMENTS..I RECOMMEND THIS PALETTE TO MY BEGINNING STUDENTS AS ONE THAT THEY CAN BUY AND ENJOY FOR MANY YEARS OF PAINTING.

I love this palette! The plastic is hard--not that flimsy stuff--and it has a great surface texture. The wells are also very convenient. It is easy to pick up the paint and slide it onto the mixing surface. Also, easy cleanup because one side is left well-free. No more wiping into other colors.
