The jury is still pretty much out on these for me. I bought them to use with modeling pastes and gels, and while they do the job, they don't do it with quite the ease or style I was hoping for. They're intended for paint, not thicker compounds, and that could be a big part of my problem. And they tend to hold on to whatever they're raked through, making cleanup a bit of a pain. However, on the upside, once you get working with them, they do some very neat things. I think I'd recommend them with the caveat that the thinner the medium you're working with, and the larger the scale, the better your result is likely to be.

I bought these two finishing combs to create patterns with my acrylic paints. Each can be used on the same painting and will achieve different effects. It is a pleasure to create with these combs.
