The plastic is sturdy and there are plenty of mixing areas; however, the slant of the paint wells allows water that may be contaminated with another color to mix too easily with the clean color. A non-slanted well is preferable in this regard.

Although I set it aside for now and bought a smaller one (as a new painter wanna be I found it to be large and cumbersome) it certainly is everything it was written up to be.

I use this palette for watercolors, and I couldn't be happier. My wide flat brushes fit easily into the wells, and there's ample space for mixing. I have also never had a problem with the cover coming loose in my class portfolio, which is nice.

I work in egg tempera. I've used many mnethods over the last 25 years to try and keep my pigment paste moist and clean while working on a painting. This by far has been the most successful means that I have ever used. Great for egg tempera and I'm sure that watercolors and even acrylics would benefit by the palette.

This is by far my favorite palette. It has more-than-ample mixing room and great wells for separation of colors. I use it with acrylics.

I love this palette! I use it for watercolors. There is plenty of space in the center for mixing colors, plus more mixing-well areas in the lid. The plastic is sturdy and the lid stays secure.
