This is a great medium. Goes on very smoothly. Cold wax. Great for encaustic. I want to buy the gallon size! I loved it. Has a little paraffin in it, so you have to watch it if you heat it up with a tiny blow torch like I do. Otherwise, I really love to mix dry pigment with it. Highly recommended.

I love the versatility of Dorland's Wax Medium. I like to use it as an overcoat on some areas of collage to add depth and an interesting translucency. I also plan to experiment with mixing dry pigment into the wax for "cold wax painting."

I have only played with this product a little but it seems very easy to use right out of the jar vs heating up wax in a can. It mixes easily with oil paints. Cant wait to experiment more!!!

This product is wonderful for painting with a palette knife. Very little amounts make a large difference in extending your oil paint. Don't use too much though, or the paint ends up looking like Apple Sauce!

The Dorland's Wax Medium really extended the life of my paint. I'm very pleased with the results. I'd buy more of this product.
