The Winsor & Newton range of Artists’ Oil Color is unmatched for purity, quality and reliability. Only the very finest pigments and most suitable drying oils are selected to produce colors of reliable consistency and a high standard of color matching.

All oil paint in this line contain the maximum pigment content consistent with good handling qualities, so optimum tinting strength can be achieved when the colors are reduced with white. These oil colors are available in tubes.

My daughter is an art teacher. She brought me everything I need to paint in oils. I am so pleased with the products and especially the prices and the fact that they are mailed to me. I have only just begun to paint with oils, but I already know the value of ordering Winsor & Newton Oils. They are simply the best for this budding artist. The first difficult lesson I learned was the difference in buying and applying oil paint. It took only one day for me to toss my cheap purchases and to discover that Winsor & Newton had what I needed in ease of mixing, applying and depth of color. I have been painting for years, using Winton oil paint and other brands. Lately buying only high end Winsor Newton and they are worth every cent of increased cost. You will take care of them, and get much more color per dab than any other I have ever used.

I find Windsor & Newton Artists' Oil Colors to have superior pigments and coverage. Colors are pure. An example is Lemon Yellow. After comparing with several brands - it is a pure lemon yellow color - not with tints of green etc.

I have always used these paints. You can always rely on the quality and the results. I've used W&N for almost 20 years (yikes). I've tried several others in art classes and have never been able to make them do what W&N can do.

Winsor & Newton oils have always been of a reliable consistency and predictable color in my experience. They keep for decades and remain user ready (I do not recommended this practice), as I recently discovered in the bottom of my supplies drawer, several tubes from my college years that were still quite like new.
