Duo Aqua Artist Oil Color

Holbein Duo Aqua Oils are artist's quality water soluble oil colors. The paint is water soluble, but the oil is identical to that used in Holbein Artist Oil Color. There is no water in the product, only a surfactant which covers the pigment and oil, making both water sensitive or soluble. Any residue of this surfactant loses its effectiveness when the oil color is dry, and has no effect in the drying process.

If the artist does not wish to use water, Duo can be used as a traditional oil color. The paint blends with other oil colors and oil mediums, though water solubility will be lost if traditional oils or oil mediums exceed 30% of the mixture.

Available in 40, 50, and 110 ml tubes.
