I am a beginning watercolor artist, and my instructor recommended the Jones Palette Color Round II Palette with Lid. This website was the only place I could find it! It really is a great palette because it is based on the color wheel which is helping me learn and understand color theory. It's also very sturdy and portable. I'm glad my instructor recommended it and that I was able to find it on this website.

This palette is perfect for watercolors. I lay out my colors according to my color wheel, and still have plenty of space for mixing or special colors. Using the lid keeps the paints soft, but I like to let mine dry and rewet them to use. The lid is still great for travel, and keeping dust and dirt out.

I really like the size of this palette plus the color wheel shape. Being easily portable is very important and there is still so much mixing space. Simply put its the most practical I've seen.
