When mixed with water, these powders transform into non-toxic tempera paint. By making your tempera paint with these powders, you can control how strong you want your paint color to be. You can even mix the powders together to create your own colors!

To make the best consistency of tempera paint, Sargent suggests 1-part paint powder be mixed with 1-part water. For lighter tints, adding white and more water is suggested.

Being in powder form, the Sargent Gothic Powder Paints are ideal for long-term storage. These powders are non-toxic, and conform to ASTM D 4236 safety standards

CAUTION: Although these paints wash off with soap and water, these colors may stain.
